HER is a YCombinator company that I joined shortly after they were came out in September 2015. I was hired as the iOS engineer. Since the team was really small, it meant a lot more than that. I was in charge of the whole iOS development but also .
The technology used at HER for the iOS development is Swift and it was a big change to migrate the whole app with millions of users under Swift 3 when it came out. Around April 2016, I became in charge of the whole monetization process of the app. Including the technical specifications of the API and the iOS app. The first premium features were launched in early July and the company became profitable 5 months later.
I started my professional career at Nexworld, an IT consulting company. I had the chance to work on a lot of projects that gave me an overview of many technologies, and allowed me to get a deep understanding, of how to work with different people, on projects with different sizes and with different tools.
Though, it has been a rich experience, I felt like it was really hard to be committed when projects changes really often, but it was a great opportunity to work for big companies like PSA Peugeot-Citroën, and on challenging topics like with Taxis G7 that needed an app to compete with Uber.
